It was an evening of watching JL experience many firsts that just totally blew me away.....watching his reactions to the different fireworks, face painting, seeing fireflies, and swimming until dark. You never get too old to live through a child.
JL has alwasy just slept right through fireworks. We thought this year we would get him his favorite special treat (plain hot dog from Sonic) and tator tots. For some reason, this is one fast food chain that has ONE thing on the menu that doesnt totally mess him up. Who would think a hot dog from Sonic was okay for his little system....but it likes it! He hadnt had one in about 2 months, so he was super excited! Sooooo excited that he hardly ate it because he was too busy swimming and watching for firecrackers! We packed carrot sticks and he crunched on them throughout the show.
