Park Time

Today was a perfect day for the park. On the weekends, when JL's eyes fly open he is rip, roaring, and ready to go.  I usually ask him what he has planned for the day. Today he said he just wanted to play at home all day.  Easy!  We always have errands to run and things to do, but that all was thrown out the door this morning and we laid around in our pajamas until after nap.

After nap, we headed to the park for some fun in the sun.

This quote sums up how I feel about what John Lleyton continues to teach me....

"Pausing to listen to an airplane in the sky, stooping to watch a ladybug on a plant, sitting on a rock to watch the waves crash over the quayside—children have their own agendas and timescales. As they find out more about their world and their place in it; they work hard not to let adults hurry them. We need to hear their voices."

JL kept hearing the 'clicking' of grasshoppers and tried so hard to catch one.  Greg managed to step away from us for a bit and capture some pretty cool pics of a very patient grasshopper :)
